What is the Trauma-informed Breathwork

Melt Away Stress.

Unlock Instant Energy.

Trauma-informed breathwork is a gentle, guided approach to conscious breathing that honors each person's nervous system, boundaries, and pace. Unlike more intense or cathartic breathwork styles, it's rooted in safety, choice, and consent — creating space for the body to process stress and stored tension without being overwhelmed or re-traumatized.Every session is designed with awareness of how trauma can live in the body. That means clear communication before touch or deep techniques are used, permission to pause or stop at any time, and a pace that respects the client's window of tolerance rather than pushing past it.

What It Can Help With

Stress and anxiety — calming an overactive nervous system and reducing the physical grip of chronic stress

Emotional regulation — building capacity to feel and move through difficult emotions instead of suppressing them

Trauma and stored tension — gently releasing tension patterns the body has held onto, at a pace the nervous system can handle

Sleep difficulties — settling the body into a more restful, parasympathetic state

Reconnection with the body — restoring a felt sense of safety and presence for those who feel disconnected from physical sensation

Grief and emotional processing — offering a supported space to move through loss and difficult life transitions

Positive Effects

Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body out of fight-or-flight

Lowers cortisol and physical markers of stress over time

Increases self-awareness and interoceptive connection (the ability to sense what's happening inside the body)

Builds resilience and a greater sense of agency over one's own nervous system

Supports emotional release in a contained, grounded way

Strengthens the mind-body connection and overall sense of embodiment

Can complement talk therapy by working somatically, below the level of language

A Gentle, Empowering Practice

Trauma-informed breathwork isn't about forcing a breakthrough — it's about creating the conditions for the body to feel safe enough to let go. Sessions are collaborative, client-led, and adapted to individual needs, so healing can unfold naturally and sustainably.

Breathwork is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. If you are currently working with a therapist or healthcare provider, breathwork can be a supportive addition to that care.
